A Missed Opportunity

It doesn’t matter how slowly you go as long as you don’t stop.

~Confucius

Many clients have confided in me that they can’t relax or sleep well because they’re worried about missing opportunities.  Their minds race all day and night thinking about what must be done next to make it all happen.  It’s as if they’re chasing something and if they don’t catch up, a timer will go off and the door will close on them forever.

Not only is this an extremely stressful way to live, it also can become a blockade that keeps us from creating the lives that we want.  Our minds become so crowded trying to avoid a “missed opportunity,” that we have no space to recognize new opportunities.

This is when the idea Maybe becomes very powerful.  The philosophy of Maybe guides us to realize that life can unfold in endless ways and Maybe there are no “misses,” but instead a parade of possibilities that unfold over time.  Using Maybe teaches us how to be totally okay with where we stand in the moment.  No matter how long it takes us to achieve our goals, Maybe helps us see that there are always new paths to our destination.

Without the constant fear of missing something, our minds can relax in the moment with peace, leaving us space enough to move toward our goals.

So give it try.  You may sleep better tonight knowing that when you wake up tomorrow you still have Maybe!!
