The Bridge to What is Possible

It is so easy to get emotionally stuck the minute something unexpected happens in our lives. I’ve seen friends, family and clients get derailed by everything from a surprise expense to an unexpected and unwelcome diagnosis.  Sometimes the uncertainty of an experience we are having does not let us see a way out of our predicament. How can we stay positive when we lose a job, a child is ill, we have financial problems or an important relationship is in conflict?  How can we make a new plan when we feel groundless and lost in our new circumstance?

This is a perfect moment to embrace Maybe.  Maybe does not demand that we figure out our problems in this moment because sometimes situations take time to resolve. Maybe works to help us remember that life can unfold in many ways.  Maybe is like some fresh air or a little opening of light awakening hope that Maybe we can achieve our goals, our loved ones can recover, we can find a new job, we can mend our relationships or that there is a way to live and find possibility with whatever we are experiencing.  It allows us to stay open when we can’t see where the road in front of us is going.

Life’s only guarantee is change, but Maybe is a constant companion creating a bridge for us to cross into hope and possibility.  Resisting the change only brings more difficulty; Maybe gives us strength to accept it and find another way to exist with whatever is before us.
